"Star-Crossed Lovers"

Many movies and T.V shows have star crossed lovers for example twilight and Romeo and Juliet. Being a star crossed lover necessarily  mean you cant be with that person unless it contradicts your faith or religious beliefs. Many people put religion on the side in order to be with their true love and some end up disowned by their parents or family members.

Love vs. lust
Romeo loves Juliet and does not lust her becuase he says "my only love sprung from my only hate" He loves her for who she is and truly loves her he even died because he didn't want to live without her.

Passion and violence go hand in hand
One of Tybalt's passion is to bring violence to people. Tybalt dies because he killed Mercutio and romeo gets mad so he kills Tybalt. "He is already dead; stabbed with a white;wench's black eye; Run through the ear with a love-song; the very PIN of his heart cleft with  the blind Bow-Boy's Butt-Shaft;" His death was soon to come if his behaviour was like that because he was risking his life every time he started a fight.

Juliets death

Who is responsible for juliets death you may ask. Technically Shakespeare, but i think she killed her self because she did commit suicide but if she had told romeo she wasn't really dead she just got people to believe that so she didn't have to get married to count paris. If she had told romeo he would not have killed himself for her and they would be alive but she kill herself so she physically and mentally killed herself.

Rhetorical device used in juliet and romeo

A rhetorical device used in Romeo and Juliet is "My only love sprung from my only hate." This was used to show the audience they are emphasizing something. The purpose of this rhetorical device was to show the love Juliet had for Romeo. The function it had on this scene was it showed that Romeo and Juliet love each other as a person not for their tribe.

I think there are still steryotypes from romeo and juliet carried around in society today. for example when a person gets mad at someone they react in a unpleasent manner like how they bit there thumbs at eachother but now society changed it to the ______Finger.

Knock Knock

knock knock by Daniel beaty on def jam was a great video and great poetry because i understood what he  was saying and he explained his story very thoroughly. I can compare this to a movie i wached i do not know the tittle of it but there was a boy and grew up with his father then one day his father left him when he was 12 and he grew up with only his mother. His neighbour was more like a father to him because he treated him like a son. After 10 long years he learned his father was his neighbour in disguise hiding from the police and the IRS because he was wanted for a crime he did not commit and was framed for. As his old identity he never had the money to pay his taxes but the boy was overwhelmed and was glad his father didn't leave but was mad for his father not telling him he was in disguise.
